Japan MapCode: Complete Guide
What MapCodes are, where to find them and how to enter them.

Why MapCode matters
Japanese addresses are hard to enter correctly. A MapCode converts a location into 6–10 digits (sometimes with a three-digit suffix after an asterisk) and often points at the car park entrance rather than the building centre.
How to enter one
- On the head unit choose Destination → MapCode
- Enter the digits; the suffix after * improves accuracy
- Check the map preview before starting guidance
- Prepare a list of MapCodes before your trip
